FAQs
1
What will therapy with The Mood & Sleep Clinic be like?
Therapy starts with getting to know you. We'll discuss your concerns, symptoms, and life situation to fully understand your needs. I'll provide clear information about your condition and the different treatment options available. We'll then collaborate on a plan that best addresses your unique goals and preferences.

Here's what you can expect:
-
Measurable progress: We will establish ways to track your progress, helping you see the positive changes and celebrate milestones.
-
Transparency: You will always understand the techniques we are using and why they benefit you.
-
Active participation: Our sessions will be a collaborative effort often using experiential interventions that you can "feel" working in real time. I will actively listen, challenge your thinking to spark new insights and provide you with tools to reach your goals. You can expect me to be an active participant to empower you to take control of your symptoms and see lasting change.
-
Open communication: You will always be free to ask questions or share any concerns throughout our therapy work.

This collaborative approach ensures you feel empowered and informed every step of the way. Let's work together to build a happier and healthier you.

In what states do you provide care?
I am a PSYPACT authorization holder. PSYPACT is an agreement between states, called an interstate compact, allowing licensed psychologists to practice telepsychology across state lines. There are 42 states included at present with numbers growing. This gives you greater access to care if you live in a state with a shortage of psychologists or specialists. It also eliminates the need to travel for therapy appointments.

To see if Psypact applies in your state, visit the Psypact website: https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap.

Insurance is a complicated and sometimes difficult process. Insurance networks can pose limitations on the type or amount of treatment you receive. Delivery of care can often feel like is is based on a profit driven business plan rather than on a health focused mission to "allow" you access to care. This is not only challenging for you as a client, but for me as a provider.

Consequently, I also provide treatment without any such restrictions using a fee-for-service model. This can be arranged session-by-session or via a
With this option, and because your right to care, privacy, and confidentiality are of utmost importance to me, I do not share your information with anyone, health management organizations included, unless you direct me to.
